What you need to claim your sales tax refund as an international visitor
Checklist: before you come
Check it before your appointment so you don't make the trip for nothing.
- Valid passport (or visa or INE) from a country other than the United States
- Original receipts for all your purchases
- Your departure flight details
- The items you bought, new and unused
- Your appointment scheduled
Required Documents
- Original Receipts
All original purchase receipts from retail transactions. For online purchases, please provide the original receipt or packing slip included with your shipment.
- Non U.S. Passport
Valid passport confirming international visitor status. Alternative acceptable documents include Visa or INE (Mexican National ID).
- Flight Information
Departure flight details confirming exit from Texas
Additional Requirements
- Purchased Merchandise
Customers must present all purchased items for inspection at processing centers in new and unused condition.
